This deluxe cedar log sided Shenandoah Valley home is the perfect place for your vacation. Located between the villages of Bentonville and Browntown, VA it is a perfect getaway for you and your family. The spacious home sleeps 2-10 guests comfortably. On the main floor your will find the Great Room with 23’ cathedral ceiling, stone fireplace and carved bear heads on the posts. Also on the main floor is the gourmet kitchen with all the necessities of home. The Master Bedroom is perfect for the romantic getaway as it also boasts a 23’ cathedral ceiling and its own stone fireplace. In addition, the Master Bath suite features a walk-in tile shower for two with body sprays and two shower heads, a corner whirlpool tub, vanity, private toilet and heated towel bar! Upstairs are two more huge bedrooms with their own full bathrooms and the loft which has two twin beds, a full futon and a mural of Virginia Wildlife painted by local artist Linda Smiley. In the basement is a one car garage, a ping pong table and lots of games. Outside enjoy the gorgeous mountain views and wildlife while relaxing on the wraparound porch in either a rocking chair or the porch swing. Experience the Shenandoah National Park in a whole new way in one of 30 fully enclosed primitive cabins (Jones Mountain is shown) in the backcountry of the Park, which are maintained by PATC. Each cabin offers necessary items for your stay such as bunks, mattresses, blankets, cooking utensils, cutlery, dishes, wood stove and/or fireplace for cooking inside or outside, availablity of spring water and an outhouse. A select group of cabins are complete with plumbing and electricity and some heating. Most cabins can be reached by foot travel only. Some cabins are for public use and some are for members only.
